Salad Dressings
Ok we all can buy bottled ready made salad dressings at the supermarket, but I can assure you that not only making your own is better for you (less sugar and nasties) but also incredibly cheap and easy. Just give it a go, all you need is s small empty jar and a bottle of Matakana Extra virgin Olive Oil. Just add a drizzle of extra olive Oil over your salad at the end for that yummy shiny look.

Lemon Dressing
2 lemons juiced and rind grated
1/2 cup of Matakana extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Put everything in a jar, close lid tight and shake well untill well combined. Pour over salad
Classic Vinagrette
1/4 cup of balsamic vinegar
2 tsp of dijon Mustard
1/2 cup of Matakana extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Put everything in a jar, close lid tight and shake well untill well combined. Pour over salad
And for something new and different, why not try these
Basil and Walnut Dressing
40 grams of walnuts
1 lemon juiced
1 garlic clove
1/2 of a cup of Matakana Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Put everything in a blender, close lid tight and shake well untill combined. Pour over salad
Chilli Honey Mustard Dressing
2 tbs of runny honey
2 tbs of dijon Mustard
2 limes zested and juiced
Chopped thyme
1 red chilli chopped
1/2 cup of Matakana extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt and Pepper to taste
Put everything in a blender, close lid tight and shake well untill combined. Pour over salad
